GENTLY COMES FALL
It starts high up,
The Aspens begin to change,
But here in town, not so abrupt,
A bit later, not strange.Resplendent are they,
But don’t have the yellow fire,
Quite, that Aspens play,
But played on Autumn’s lyre.Like soldiers in file,
They march in uniform,
Proud the while,
As is a soldier’s norm.

I like the way you Americans call Autumn, Fall!
Yes the changing colours of the leaves are beautiful.
Fall forgot it was here. It left and now we are so hot and humid again that the a/c is running full time.
The beautiful colors and cooler air.
gentle in every way. beautifully written.
Just the mentioin of A/C makes me shiver…lol. It’s in the low 40′s here most the time, winter gear is coming out of hybernation. I love the season changes!Fall to Winter especially.
Yes, it’s coming! Time to put the flannel sheets on the bed and find all the sweat shirts. The aspens are beautiful–but they kind of look like us, like they’d be happier up on a mountain somewhere, or think they would.
Your pictures make it almost like being there, and I thank you for that! It sure is warmer this way!

How pretty. I was wondering what camera do you use, name brand and model number? It sure does capture the feeling you are trying to convey.
