    THERE IS A DITTY

    About a natural born,
    Bob tailed kitty,
    Not to mourn,
    Though he ain't pretty.

    He sports a name,
    Short to fit,
    Ain't no  shame,
    MANX to whit.
    ------------------------------------------------
Keyboard time very limited,  progress slow.
Pain a bit less and maintaining on Tylenol.

  • Hey, You are in my thoughts and prayers! How are you doing today!?

    Hugs to you,

  • I'm praying that you continue to feel better.

Manx cats are interesting.  Do you have one?

  • Doug, I am just now catching up after a month of staying away. I take it you are suffering. Please use my message site to fill me in.

I loved your last blogs for one was of the brick wrapped in a towel and one mentioned foxes. My childhood bedroom was on the north upstairs and it was cold in the winter. Mom did the brick thing for me. The foxes had dens on our farm and my bro hunted them. I saw one once.

  • I love Manx cats!   I suppose you can tell, as one of my cats has no tail and the other has a stump.     I suppose I should have named mine Short and Shorter, but instead Rumpie and Stumpie stuck.  Gordon calls them Trouble1 and Trouble2.

    I like your verses.

  • Nice little ditty....

Hope you are feeling better, think of you here and there...

  • Saw on the weather that you got more than your fair share again -- hope you & Heather came through with no problems.

  • Have you got a real Manx guy--with the elevated rear end? It's a wonder that they keep those traits through all the generations since they were on the Isle of Man, isn't it. Did you see Marie's post (xanga.com/MSB)about her family that live there? The symbol with all the little legs going round and round made me wonder if the cats got that way the same way the symbols did? Who knows what history has been!
Did you ever read the story about the cat who heard that somebody had seen a kitty funeral procession, with a crown on the coffin? When their house cat heard of it, he said, "What! Well, that means that now I'm King of the Cats!" and he took off down the street. Nobody knows what lives those mysterious animals do lead!
Hope you feel a LOT better soon, Doug! Hang in there!
