GOLD IN THE HILLS
Like a wee queen of gold,
Stands this prim and proper Aspen,
Court she'll hold,
Midst the evergreens.A few, on the way to queen's soiree,
On the roadside make their way,
Behind comes the crowd,
Marching uphill,
With golden notes loud,
I can hear them still.---------------------------------------------------------------------
We were a bit early in Estes Park, the Aspens not quite at their peak yet.
But as ever we were in our own paradise !

Keep your fall colors coming. I have a feeling we will see very little but the look of dried browns. It may surprise me but I don't think so.
Lovely photos and what a contrast to the blue of the sky. Great poem to go with the photos.
I have had such fun reading back through your last entries and getting to know you and your family. I hope your son feels better every day. Your pictures are wonderful.
Be well,
Tracy
Love that first picture--a true loner!
Yes, it is one of those happy little otters from the zoo.
how pretty-we have no fall here, but I am hoping a trip to KY next month will help. I would love to come your way one day.
