THAT HELPLESS FEELING
When the kids are grown,
And on their own,
I guess I have no right to moan,
About seeds of pain the world has sown,
But it hurts even more, that I can do nothing but knowin'.

The doctor drained Doug's knee Friday and hasn't been around Saturday or Sunday he is still running a low grade fever, still in pain. Did bear physical therapy today, has no appetite. Nurses on his floor are good to him and tonight a machine that cools water was wheeled in, a plastic sock put on his leg and attached to the machine, so there will be cool water circulating through the sock, they are hoping to bring the swelling down. Staff is doing what they can but Doug needs information from his doctor - - - hope he makes an appearance Monday morning and can at lease clue him in on what he should expect and etc.

I'm so sorry he and the rest of the family are having to go through all this.
I hope he'll recover soon. That helpless feeling we have when adult children are suffering is no different than when they are small. Luckily young parents don't understand that.

I'm so sorry Doug is experiencing this, and I feel for you being the Dad very worried about his dearly loved son. I wish your son my very best wishes.
I forgot to mention, yes we did have Thomas the Tank Engine on TV here!
Oh, this sounds painful. I could make a bad joke about "waiting for doctors in America" but you guys don't need that right now. Knees. Not my favourite joint.
So hard when our kids are in pain and we don't have all the answers yet. Hope to hear good news today.
How much I understand you Doug . This helpless feeling , this anxiety . But I send for your son my best wishes for a quick improvment .

Poor Doug! I know that around here most Drs. don't come around on weekends, either, unless it is an emergency. Am sure he will be there today, though. How frustrating for Doug, though----and all of you. Prayers for you all!

I know how you feel, I know how your son feel's...when the doc's don't show, it seem's like they don't care. But they do
. Give me that doc's name and number and I'll get him there 
. Praying for you all!
That cool sock may really help..and hopefully The doctor will have positive news when he does show.
