IT IS CLEAR UP HEREClear Creek in Silver Plume,
Is clear up here,
As it goes in civilization’s flume,
It gets muddier perhaps solid I fear.Though a rough mining town,
In days of yore,
A band shell,
They had amenities and more.
A grand school building,
Of 1856, stone and brick,
Still stands without gilding,
A museum today, ain’t that a trick ?And dating near there,
Is a house of worship,
Where souls could share,
And holiness sip.Heather and I went up that way today, remembering how things were in our young days, much had changed, but evenso old landmarks yet stood out. Tonight we are at peace.

Beautiful Colorado. Think Colo. Springs was my favorite place to live. The summers were cooler than my AZ, and the winters were milder than Ken’s WI. Love those mountains!
Also love the 4 generations picture. All such handsome men! I have one of those, too. Only the sexes are mixed. Both Ken’s and my mothers are on it. Precious memories!
I think I’d like to dip my toes in Clear Creek. It’s very pretty. Then I’d like to go visit that museum. Good for you and Heather for getting out and seeing the sites! Peace
Colorado is just a pretty as I would imagine it to be. I read a lot of books, and a few of my books have characters who live in Colorado. These pictures you have posted look exactly as my mind imagines it to look, and then I can also picture it with lots of snow!
Beautiful Pictures!! Reminds me of Jasper and Banff up in Alberta, same Rockies I suppose! I need to visit Colorado! ‘Til The Next
Those pictures are so gorgeous. More and more I want to move there.
What wonderful history.
Love the look of that stream. I love water in whatever form in nature. The old buildings are well preserved.
Thanks for sharing the peace.
