  • SURELY ANOTHER DAY

    The clock says so,
    And the calender too,
    But the white doth flow,
    From the skies above,
    And a man asks what's new ?

    Not much  new  I say,
    Just different,
    Other names today,
    Perhaps another accent.

    Time and weather,
    Are noted,
         For doing whatever,
        And the boat is floated.
    -------------------------------------------------
    A  surprise white Christmas,
    Ere the snow is cleared,
    Another fluff of white muss,
    And of this, I'm wearied.

    Keeps on, getting deeper,
    Think I'll become,
    A winter sleeper,
    Maybe a bear become.

  • Ha! You gonna' hibernate?!?! Sounds good to me! What a fun poem and beautiful photo!

Hugs to you, Dear "Daddy Doug"!!!

  • Nothing new under the sun.  But , time can be cruel and ..time can bring good things too.  The big circle of life.  The good and the bad.

No hibernation for us today...in the 80's.   Next week , winter is due to arrive and temps falling into the TEENS!!  VERY unusual for Florida.  Why can't there be a happy medium!?

May this year end well and the brand new year bring you health and happiness.

    Love,

    Fran

  • No snow here, but if it did, I should sit by my window to watch and then crawl into bed for my long sleep.   Snow muffles sound, making for good sleeping weather.

  • At Wal Mart yesterday we ran into a women from Denver. I asked if she was going to be able to get back...she hoped so.  Am I the only one that speaks to people at check out?

  • The houses look scattered in the wood . With the snow I understand you are blocked at home and you have bear - feeling nascent !   Time to eat honey and food in stock .
i wonder what kind of heating you have .

I wish you both , Heather and Doug ,  a healthy and happy year 2008.

    In friendship

  • I heard about the Denver Airport having flight delays, so I thought that meant you had a white Christmas!  Try to enjoy the beauty of it all.
