  • HEALING SPELL

Changeabout street is this way through town,
Speer Boulevard roughly follows Cherry Creek,
Mayor Speer made it a a thing of renown,
    A scenic way to seek,
    Serenity.

    Southeast bound,
    It does a funny thing,
    It goes underground,
    For a spell at Broadway,

So when headed to the east side,
    Funneling our way,
I get an attitude adjustment wide,

    Same sun shining out there,
But doom and gloom are left behind,
    Happiness to spare,
Truly there is light to find,
At the end of the tunnel.

And then the reflected light did freakish things,
    And did a Daliesque pic,
All mixed up, me in nature with wings.

If I tried for something like that,
    It just wouldn't work,
    It interests this brat,
    Maybe I'm a jerk ?

  • Fun kind of look at life my friend. Judi

  • I struggle to get the header and the content together....?

  • I feel dizzy after reading, but happy with the friendly company

  • You're no jerk! You notice the most magical and lovely things to write on, Doug.

  • The last pic is sorta other worldly isn't it? Interesting to say the least some of the things we come up with in the day to day life of photography.

  • From out of the darkness..
    Have a wonderful day.

  • hahahaha
I love the poem and last photo. Cool!

  • I sometimes have the same problem while shooting through glass---or AT glass.

Tunnels intrigue me.  Sometimes I find them frightening, sometimes exciting.  When I was small, living in N. Jersey, we would often drive the 20 miles to New York City.  Would take the tunnels across and back.  All I could think of is all of that water on top of us.  But, when we lived in Colorado Springs, and would go up into the mountains, the back roads would often be old railroad beds, and there would be short tunnels carved out of the mountain.  Those were fun!  Now, the Eisenhower Tunnel is a different story.  The one time we went through there, I was so worried we would stall out.  Had vapor lock just before the tunnel, and was worried it would happen IN the tunnel.

  • Lights at the end of the tunnel are always interesting kind of like doors wonder where they will take you. I am so glad you are my friend Doug. I am grateful for you. Judi
