  • FEW AND FAR BETWEEN

    But, oh so glorious,
    When seen,
    The fable notorious,
Of a pot of gold is mean.

There is rain in the air,
    The streets wet,
    Now turning fair,
    And a rainbow yet !

  • How neat that you captured the beautiful rainbow!  Just gorgeous!  Hope you got some good rain from it.  It looks like there are two rainbows!  We had just a smattering of rain this evening.  On one hand, I was thrilled that it didnt ruin my walking, but I know we need rain badly.  It just needs to cooperate with me, lol!

  • There is a double rainbow there! I can see one above the other.

  • Wow, Doug.   You really took a good shot of that.    Ava

  • Like an arch of glory above an ordinary landscape . And the poem adds to this spectre of light .

  • That is a beautiful picture, Doug!!! You are blessed to get both rain and then the rainbow. The raindrops on the lens make it even more interesting. What a great shot. Hugs

  • I read in class yesterday a poem by Wordsworth about rainbows.  They do seem to still inspire such hope.

Since we’ve had such a rainy summer, I have seen several of them in the last few months.  It’s been quite nice and always perks up my attitude.  How can you be cranky when there’s a rainbow?

  • Yes, it is a beautiful double rainbow.  I took a picture of a double rainbow in Montana, however, it was not a clear as this one.
