  • AWFUL SNOWFALL

    Friday into Saturday segues,
    Dawn shows lightly falling snow,
So it comes in sort of edgeways,
    But, its December you know.

    Lagging behind,
    Things to do galore,
    Losing our mind,
    There is more,
    To do before we find,
    Time to go out,
    What a bore.

    Finally the last is done,
    We fire up the beast,
Through increasing snow and no sun,
We slurge into the artery carefully at least.

    It gets later of course,
    Snow gets a bit heavier,

Piling up messy, and fluffy as well,
Slows things up as snow comes down.

    Heavier yet and darker too,

Before we got away, deeper doo-doo,
    Was the nicey icey,
    Traffic at a crawl,
    We had a a time - dicey.

Last stop, going to the car, my feet slipped, almost fell,
Shoulder went kaflooey,  just getting things going again
    at 2:43 AM Monday.

  • Oh do be careful!

I remember all that ice and snow...I know I should get away from here and do the stuff I need to do.

  • Oh, Mercy!   I'm so very sad to hear about  your snowy slide.  I do hope you mend quickly.

  • my favorite line was the following:

We slurge into the artery carefully at least.

  • be careful, g'pa *hugs* love u.

  • STAY HOME!!! There have to be neighbors who will bring whatever you need. My Wil has been doing for others all day here. We got elect. power back after over 24 hrs. without. PRAISE THE LORD!

  • It's sooooo beautiful there! I love the snow!!! Don't stay home...watch the grandkids make snow angels, or, make them yourself. Then go inside for hot cocoa...such a winter wonderland! Praying for you and for those in your community who lost their lives in the church shootings. Hugs to you and Heather!

  • Going to have Heather keep you in until spring.
