GRAVY TIMEHaving been through the mill,
Many, many times,
Chopped fine, ground powdery, but still,
My life cheerfully rhymes. We have progeny alive,
They have progeny too,
Those people strive,
To propagate the family jive too.Great Grandson Ian's birthday,
Four giant years old,
He's family, in the dirt does play,
Like I did when young and bold. His sister too, roams out side,
Such a sunny day today,
Her eyes wide,
At the joy broadside. The unbelievable joy,
Of packages to unwrap,
Thrills this boy,
Which he proceeds to tap. Then a fitting conclusion,
The gathering round of littles,
Mid much confusion,
At table, where the cake sittles.
-------------------------------------------------------
Each time, each birthday of our kin takes me back,
To birthday excitement I've watched through the
years. And so very happily too.

Thank you for you reply on my question re Healing spell. All makes perfect sense now. Your writing is inspirational. Birthday's are special.
Once again I'm reminded what a beautiful family you have. You are one of a special few with great grand children. I'm sure if I ever have grandchildren I will adore them like my own sons, but it's harder to look farther into the future and imagine even keeping track of grandchildren's children, much less still have those same feelings. Love is a splendid thing. (I think I'm speaking in songs today.)
Great photos, great kids and cake! What more could you ask for?

Heartwarming
It's hard to find anything more grin making then spending time watching children open presents! Sheer joy.
Hi Doug...how many children, grandchildren and great grand children are here because of the love of you and Heather? Would be neat to know....beautiful pictures!
Beautiful children you have there. Love the cake. Memories really do come back at times like this. As always clever words and great pictures you share. Hugs and have a good week . Grandma Ev
Grandchildren is not to be for us. Perhaps that is why our efforts go towards the volunteer work we do.
Beautiful children!
What a cutie that Ian is! And his sister, too. Having grands and greats has got to be the best reward for the passing time.
Happy Birthday to Ian
