    Sometimes it seems that,
I can be compared to this old place,
    Not that I’ve gone splat,
    But lack couth and grace.

If it could get up and walk around,
Like mine every joint would groan,
    But my body doth abound,
With life and I’m not alone,

    One difference there,
It has a shiny metal roof,
    Me ?  Have hair ?
    Ah, you spoof.

Don called from Duschene, Utah and he arrived
    home in good shape.
Doug III is making progress and pretty well
pain free on his hip.   Knees another story,
After recovery is complete and time elapsed
He will go in for knee replacement.

  • I’m glad Don made such a wonderful recovery. Doug too. He’ll be a bionic man by the time he’s done, good as new.

  • Yeah for Don and Doug……….I like the old place.

  • beautiful photos, great poetry, pretty good news… happy weekend!

  • Good to see you’re getting out and exploring with your camera these lovely fall days.  I try to get outside and soak up some sun to counteract the SAD, and maybe even walk up the hill a block or three.

  • I feel like a rickety old house too sometimes.

  • Such a classic old home–leaves one wondering the things that went on there.  Glad Don and Doug are a-doin’ well.

  • Good news on the family.  We certainly can identify with your poetry of today.  Holding our own as best we can Nancy

  • Ah, but the old place has CHARACTER!!!

It rained here in North Carolina on Friday and it has been so long since we had seen rain, everyone wondered what the wet stuff was doing falling out of the sky.

  • It saddens me to see neat old places looking like I so often feel.
